“Who cares?” – Former Cleveland Cavaliers player Channing Frye shoots at Pablo Torre for his report on Los Angeles Clippers | NBA News
The NBA has already launched its investigation on the Los Angeles Clippers on allegations of salary cap circumvention on their part, and funneling money through a third party to pay Kawhi Leonard an extra $28 million. Investigative journalist Pablo Torre was the one to report on the matter and make it public on his podcast show, Pablo Torre Finds Out. Since then, many people from the league have commented on the matter, the latest being Channing Frye, who won the championship with LeBron James for the Cleveland Cavaliers back in 2016. And Torre has, of course, now added his own comment to further escalate the drama.
Channing Frye fires at Pablo Torre
Former Cleveland Cavaliers star Channing Frye, the co-host of the Road Trippin’ podcast, is the latest to add to the list of people talking about the Kawhi Leonard situation. During their episode with Mark Cuban, inevitably, the Los Angeles Clippers – Kawhi Leonard drama was a topic of discussion. And Frye, for reasons unknown, decided to go after Pablo Torre for the whole situation. “First of all, why are you snitching? Why are you snitching? Who cares? Do you know how much this lemon perfect bottle was? Probably 28 cents. This is what Steve Ballmer thinks of $28 million. He’s like, ‘Oh, here you go. You want this?’ He don’t care. Also, why are you snitching?”
Co-host Richard Jefferson clarified who he was talking about, and when Fyre said Torre, Jefferson took it upon himself to defend the journalist. “The reporter’s job is to snitch. Our job is to keep it quiet, right? Ballmer didn’t tell. Kawhi didn’t tell. So, Pablo’s doing what he’s supposed to do, and he’s doing an absolutel great job. Shout him out for this investigation.”Fyre then tried to backtrack and took to X (formerly Twitter), saying he agreed with his co-host about the matter. And that Torre did a good job with his report. But fans were already over it by then.
Pablo Torre comments on Channing Frye
Pablo Torre has since become aware of Channing Frye’s comment on the situation and took to his social media to make his thoughts clear on the matter. He wrote, “I don’t know which of these two questions is worse tbh,” indicating he was befuddled by the comments. Torre was the one to make public the whole incident surrounding the Los Angeles Clippers and Kawhi Leonard. He has also since revealed the involvement of Clippers minority owner Dennis Wong in the scenario. There is more to come in the coming weeks on the saga as the investigation on the matter continues.
