Video of woman’s simple act of kindness amasses 24 million views on Instagram: ‘Best thing on the Internet’ – The Indian Express

A heart-warming video of a woman’s brief but touching interaction with a young boy in Ladakh has captured the Internet’s attention, garnering over 24 million views on Instagram.
In the clip, Shafeera S shared how she noticed a boy playing alone and decided to join him. During their playful exchange, the boy stumbled and fell, prompting her to pretend to fall as well, hoping to lift his spirits. Her gesture worked, sparking giggles between them as the boy began to tease her. The joy was fleeting.
However, when it was time for her to leave, the boy’s mood shifted. He grew quiet, hiding his face in sadness. “This broke my heart,” said Shafeera, about that moment.
Unable to shake the thought of his sorrow, Shafeera returned the next day with gifts—warm clothes and snacks––to help him through the harsh winter. She knew her departure would bring tears again.
“I’m not sure who made whose day more beautiful,” she wrote in the caption, leaving viewers moved.
