Avesh to bowl the final over. RR needs nine runs off six balls.
Yorker first up, Jurel can only take a single. There’s a ball change. Hetmyer slashes towards backward point and runs for two. Pant dislodges the bails and it’s touch-n-go. Turns out, Pant hit is hand on the stumps. OUT! Hetmyer flicks the ball straight to backward square leg.
Shubham Dubey at the crease. Yorker! A dot ball. Six off two balls now. Dropped!! Miller drops a sitter at long on. Dubey hits the ball straight to long on but Millers spills and the batters runs two! four off 1 ball. A yorker off the last ball and Avesh Khan has won it for LSG!! Dubey hits the ball straight Avesh and he might have hurt his hand. LSG though has picked two points. What a game.
Prince. Jurel gets a top edge but the falls in no man’s land. Turning out to be another thriller. Ball is reversing. Very good ball that, a yorker. Hetmyer slogs and gets a double towards midwicket. Full toss outside off and Hetmyer hits the ball towards cover for four. Another four! Hetmyer flicks the ball towards fine leg.
25 off 18 needed.
Avesh. OUT! Jaiswal is gone. Jaiswal moves towards leg side but Avesh bowls a perfect yorker that uproots the middle stump. He falls after scoring a terrific 74 off 52 balls.
Dhruv Jurel at the crease. Off the mark with a single. Parag continues to look for the gaps and run. Parag attempts a ramp and is hit on the pad. LSG appeals and the umpire raises the finger. Parag takes the DRS. Three reds, decision stays. Parag falls for 39 off 26.
Digvesh. Parag reverse sweeps and gets the ball past short third for four. LSG hasn’t been able to control the scoring rate. RR has managed to keep the scoreboard ticking throughout.
Avesh. He’s getting the ball to reverse. SIX! Parag picks the length quickly and slogs it over long on. Full toss to Jaiswal outside off and slashes it past point for four. 13 runs from the over.
Prince for his third over. Bouncer, Parag is hurried as he tried to pull, gets a top edge over the keeper for four. Nine runs came in that over.
46 runs needed in 30 balls.
Bishnoi. Four runs came in that over. Spinners have brought LSG back in the game.
Digvesh for his third. Jaiswal slashes, the point fielder got a hand to it but the shot was hit hard enough to go to the fence. Nine runs from the over.
Prince is back. On the pads, Parag picks the ball over square leg for a SIX! Sweetly timed. Runs have kind of dried up now. 10 runs off the first five ball. Parag ends the over with a four, straight down the ground.

Pant looks confident. OUT! His foot was in the air. But very, very good debut for the youngster. He goes for 34 off 20 balls.
Nitish Rana in at three.
Digvesh is back. Dealing in singles at the moment, these two. SIX! Vaibhav goes on the backfoot and pulls over the midwicket. Such power.
Ravi Bishnoi is here. Four! Suryavanshi picks the ball over the bowler’s head. Terrific shot again. Now Jaiswal. Goes on the backfoot and cracks a punch towards cover for four. 10 runs from the over.
Prince Yadav into the attack. Very good start, getting the ball to shape into the left hander. Jaiswal has trouble reading him. Lovely bowling, mixing his lengths. After five dot ball, Jaiswal ends the over with a pull in front of square leg for a six.
Aiden Markram into the attack. SIX! Jaiswal slog sweeps over square leg. This is terrific striking by the two youngsters. SIX! Great hit. Goes over long on and goes way into the stands. Fifty partnership already between the two. 14 runs from the over.
Digvesh Rathi into the attack. A good start to the over, one run in four balls. A single off the fifth ball. Just two runs from the over.
Shardul. Now Jaiswal joins the party as he smacks a cover drive for four. Follows it up with a huge six over midwicket! Cracking shot that. Takes a single. Suryavanshi doesn’t time his pull but gets a single. Another 13-run over.
Avesh Khan. SIX! Vaibhav goes over long on for another maximum. Three balls and already two sixes for the 14-year-old. Dropped! Vaibhav pulls, ball goes high in the air, man at midwicket runs back but spills it and the ball goes to the boundary. He gets a lifeline and a four.
Alright so Vaibhav Suryavanshi has come out to open the innings with Yashasvi Jaiswal. Shardul Thakur with the new ball.
Jaiswal begins the chase with four. Flicks the ball in air towards midwicket. SIX!! VAIBHAV SURYAVANSHI HITS A SIX OFF THE FIRST BALL. Smacks the ball over cover region. What a start to his career. 13 runs from the over.
Sandeep with the final over.
First ball, a short off-cutter, it looked like and Miller slams it to long off for a single.
SIX! A low full toss and Samad flicks it up and over backward square leg for a maximum! SIX! Wide of the off stump and short but no problem for Samad. He pulls it well and sends it over square leg.
A two taken and Samad back on strike.
Another SIX! It’s turning out to be another final over to forget for Sandeep. SIX!!! WHAT A HUGE ONE! Another full toss and Samad sends it to the heavens and over the fence.
Archer returns to bowl the penultimate over.
Wide has been given but a review has been taken. And the on-field decision stands. No boundary off that over.
Deshpande bowling out.
FOUR! Badoni reverse hits it and an edge takes the ball over a jumping Jurel behind the stumps. With this, the batter brings up his fifty!
Oh no! Next ball, Badoni OUT! A wider ball and Badoni smacks it but Shubham Dubey is there at deep point to take the catch.
Badoni c Dubey b Deshpande 50 (34)
Abdul Samad the new batter at the crease.
Sandeep returns for his third over.
FOUR! Badoni nears his half-century as he makes space for himself and pulls the shorter ball over extra cover for a boundary!
Hasaranga bowling out now.
SIX! Badoni slog sweeps it over square leg for a maximum. The previous ball, he’d tried to the same but had missed. This time, he connects it sweetly.
OUT! It’s Markram who holes out to RR skipper Riyan Parag over at deep extra cover and his fine innings comes to an end.
Markram c Riyan b Hasaranga 66 (45)
David Miller enters the crease.
Theekshana bowling out.
The Sri Lankan bowler is bowling full deliveries, which are seeing the batters drive them to the deep for a singles and twos.
Couple of yorkers to end his spell.
Hasaranga with his third over. Just four runs off it and a strategic timeout has been taken.
Deshpande with his third. A single conceded, followed by a wide.
Another wide. Before the pacer released the ball, Badoni had shifted across his crease to make space but the bouncer was too high.
Deshpande changing up the pace, slowing it down to confound the batters. A misfield in the deep allows the batters to take a comfortable two.
Theekshana returns for his third over.
SIX! Slightly shorter, and the batter uses his feet and sends it straight over long on. For a moment, it seemed that the ball would be coming down, providing an opportunity for a catch, but the shot had enough distance.
Sandeep Sharma returns.
FIFTY! Markram brings up his half-century! FOUR! Badoni slaps it over the in-circle fielders and founds the boundary. And he follows it up with another FOUR! This time he paddle scoops it past the ‘keeper to find the boundary at deep fine leg.
Hasaranga continues and a huge appeal on the second ball. And review has been taken. RR thinks Badoni has been trapped lbw. Not out! It’s umpires call and Badoni stays.
SIX! And another SIX! Markram finishes the over with back-to-back maximums, both in the long on region.
Deshpande continues and bowls a wide to begin his second over.
FOUR! Badoni cuts late past backward point and finds the gap. No chance there for the deep third fielder to catch up on the racing ball.
Wanindu Hasaranga brought into the attack.
OUT! That’s an end to Pant’s innings! The batter tries to reverse sweep but edges behind to Dhruv Jurel, who had to juggle a few times to complete the catch.
Pant c Jurel b Hasaranga 3 (9)
Ayush Badoni brought in as the Impact Sub in place of Mitchell Marsh. So, no Mayank Yadav bowling tonight.
Tushar Deshpande with his first over. A couple of quickly taken singles to begin the over. LSG skipper Pant taking his time to settle down in the middle, scoring two off six balls so far. Just five runs off it.
Sandeep Sharma is here. Pooran drives past mid off for four! OUT! Pooran is given LBW. He has reviewed. Three reds! Pooran has to go. He falls for just 11 off 8 balls.
Rishabh Pant in at four. Another LBW by the Royals but umpire isn’t interested. RR has reviewed. Inside edge, decision stays. Pant defends the ball with the straight, quite unlike his character. Four dots to end the over.
Archer. Markram jabs the ball towards midwicket and gets a three. Four! Pooran slashes, gets a thick outside edge over the slip cordon. DROPPED! Pooran goes for a slog, a top edge but Shubham Dubey spills it. How costly will that be? Markram finishes the over with a four.
Theekshana. Markram finds a boundary through the extra cover. Another boundary for Markram! This time he finds the gap past point. 12 runs from the over.
Archer. OUT! Marsh is gone. Short ball, quick, Marsh goes for the pull but ends up getting a top edge and a very good catch by Hetmyer running in from deep square leg.
Nicholas Pooran at the crease. He’s greeted with a bouncer. Off the mark with a single. A very good start for Royals.
Maheesh Theekshana from the other end. A very good over, attacking the stumps. Just three runs.
Mitchell Marsh and Aiden Markram open. Jofra Archer with the new ball.
Marsh hits the first ball past mid on and gets three. Good fielding cuts down one run. Archer hitting the deck hard; right on the money. Markram punches towards covers and gets a boundary. Another four! This time he cuts past point!
