Jammu-Kashmir Election Schedule 2024: The Election Commission of India (ECI) announced the election date for Haryana and Jammu-Kashmir on Friday while the poll dates for Maharashtra continue to be awaited. During the Press Conference, Chief Election Commission (CEC) of India Rajiv Kumar described the enthusiastic participation of people in the Lok Sabha elections and stated poetically, “Lambi kataron mein chhupi hai badalte surat-e-haal yani jamhooriyat ki kahani. Roshan ummeedein ab khud karengi goya apni taqdeer-e-bayani… jamhooriyat ke jash mein aapki shirkat duniya dekhegi napak iraadon ke shikasht ki kahani.”
This translates into English, “In long queues, lie the changing state of affairs, This is the story of democracy. Bright hopes will now themselves narrate the tales of their own destiny. In the celebration of democracy, your participation will show the world the story of the defeat of malicious intentions.”
