Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will go up against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) today, 19 May, in IPL 2025. While SRH are already out of the playoffs race, LSG are still in contention with three games left. However, Travis Head will not be available for today’s clash due to a Covid-19 infection, and it will be interesting to see how SRH perform without him against LSG.
With average scores hovering around 190, the red soil pitch at the Ekana Stadium has offered a balanced advantage for both bat and ball, while slightly favouring the spinners.
The teams have played a total of five IPL matches, out of which LSG lead with four wins. SRH have managed just one victory.
The youngster has surprised everyone with his quality batting this season. In the last match against Punjab Kings (PBKS), he scored an impressive 74 runs off 40 balls.
Not just his bowling, but also his captaincy has been impressive to watch. Although the team couldn’t make it to the playoffs, his bowling has been a key factor, and he is expected to deliver once again today.
In his debut season, Rathi’s bowling has been quite effective for LSG, with a total of 12 wickets and an economy rate of 8.09. With LSG still hopeful for a playoff spot, bowlers like him need to take as many wickets as possible and restrict high-scoring chases.
