The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will be moving to Lucknow to play against the hosts Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at the Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Stadium and will be hoping to turn their season around from this game onwards. This is going to be a battle between two iconic wicket-keeper batters as Rishabh Pant will go head-to-head against his idol MS Dhoni.
The Lucknow Super Giants have been in great form and are currently placed third on the table. Pant and his boys have won four out of their six games in the tournament so far. Despite the poor form of the skipper, most of the players have been giving exceptional performances with both bat and ball so far.
The Chennai Super Kings, on the other hand, have had one of their most disappointing defeats in the tournament last game against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). They have only won one game in the six matches so far. This game will be a chance for them to finally turn their fortunes around in the tournament and get back to winning ways under the leadership of MS Dhoni. The Yellow Brigade is now languishing at the bottom of the table.

Though the two teams have only faced each other five times this season, there have been some memorable matches involving many high-scoring chases. It was last season when the fans witnessed a game which had two centurions. Though Ruturaj Gaikwad got the team to a big total of 210 with his, Stoinis spoiled the party with his amazing 124 off 63 deliveries.
Their first encounter in 2022 was equally memorable. Once again, it was a 200+ run chase, which the Lucknow franchise once again chased down thanks to the knocks from Quinton de Kock, KL Rahul, and Evin Lewis.
