End of the match- CSK 168/5; CSK won by 5 wickets
MS Dhoni show to finish the match on the winning side at last as the legend score 26*(11) with a six and 4 fours.
Shivam Dube with a mature knock of 43*(37) helps them through the middle overs after a few quick wickets.
Ravi Bishnoi pick of the bowlers for his 2/18 that go in vain. Shardul Thakur taken for cleaners as he goes wicketless for 56 runs.
MS Dhoni is named as the Player of The Match for his match winning cameo.
End of 10 overs- CSK 81/3
The spinners pull things back for the hosts as they send Rachin Ravindra and Rahul Tripathi back at 37(22) and 9(10).
Aiden Markram started suffocating the visitors with the wicket of well-set Rachin and has 1/12 after two overs.
Ravi Bishnoi gets the wicket after of Tripathi after Abdul Samad squandering a catch earlier in the innings.
Ravindra Jadeja and Shivam Dube look to get CSK back in the chase with 86 needed from 60.
End of the powerplay- CSK 59/1
The visitors started the run chase well, thanks to an impressive 27(19) on debut from Shaik Rasheed.
Rachin Ravindra is going equally well with his 25*(13) as he is joined by Rahul Tripathi.
Avesh Khan sends Rasheed back to the hut on a short slower ball outside off which is skied by the 20-year-old only to find Pooran at midwicket.
Four bowlers used by LSG so far with Avesh being the pick of the lot for his 1/7 in one over.
End of the first innings overs – LSG 166/7
Lucknow could only manage 57 off their last five overs as they finish at 166 in their 20 overs. Rishabh Pant was the pick of the batters as he scored an important 63 off 49 deliveries to help LSG put up a fighting total.
Ravindra Jadeja is the pick of the bowlers for CSK as he picked up two important wickets of Marsh and Badoni, both times when a partnership was brewing.
After 15 overs – LSG 109/4
LSG look to accumulate as much as they can in the last 5 overs with skipper Pant (37) and Abdul Samad (2) in the middle. The latest victim of CSK’s bowling attack is Ayush Badoni as he goes for 22(17) after being stumped out by Dhoni. Jadeja provides another important breakthrough.
After 10 overs – LSG 78/3
LSG find themselves in a bit of difficulty as they have lost their top 3. The dangerous Mitchell Marsh returned to the dugout for 30(25) as Jadeja clean bowled him. Ayush Badoni is the new man in the crease and he will look to take things forward with his skipper.
CSK have been bowling well as they look to restrict the Super Giants from scoring big on a batting-friendly Ekana pitch.
After 5 overs – LSG 34/2
After losing Aiden Markram and the in-form Nicholas Pooran, LSG look to stabilise their innings with captain Rishabh Pant (0) and Mitchell Marsh (20) in the middle.
CSK look to create more pressure in order to squeeze out the big fishes.
7:34: Wicket! LSG lose their first wicket as Markram top edges a ball and is caught brilliantly by Rahul Tripathi. Khaleel Ahmed gets his first wicket of the match. LSG 6/1 after 1 over.
7:32 pm: First runs on the board for LSG as Markram hits a neat boundary in the gap between cover and point.
7:30 pm: The game is underway at Ekana. Aiden Markram takes strike. Khaleel Ahmed to start the proceedings for CSK.
7:05: Only one change for LSG, Mitchell Marsh comes in for Himmat Singh. For CSK, Anshul Khamboj, Shaik Rasheed and Jamie Overton come in for Ravichandran Ashwin, Devon Conway and Shivam Dube.
7:00 pm: It’s toss time in Ardonamau! MS Dhoni wins the toss and elects to field first.
