Kharge Responds To Modi’s ‘Blank Constitution Copy’ Charge On Rahul Gandhi, ‘Mere Taraf Se Aapko…’

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge countered Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s remarks on the red-covered and “empty” copy of the Constitution, asserting that it has everything written inside it. He said he would send him a copy of it through Congress candidate Nitin Raut if he did not have it. Kharge also responded to allegations by the BJP over Rahul Gandhi opting for a red copy to seek support from “urban naxals”.

“This is the Constitution, it has everything inside it. He (PM Modi) said the pages of this red book which Rahul Gandhi reads is blank. He said it is ‘kora kaagaz’…Read this, is it blank?  I would request Nitin Raut to send a copy of this book to him. Sahab ismei sab likha hua hai (Sir, everything is written in it),” Kharge said.

Kharge’s remarks came after PM Modi attacked Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi over the “Laal kitaab” of the Constitution which the Congress flaunted and distributed contained “nothing”.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had said: “In ‘farziwada’, Congress has broken its own record. The ‘Laal Kitab’ of the Constitution which the Congress party was flaunting and distributing contained ‘nothing’. It was an empty book. This is nothing but a testament to Congress’ disregard and hate for Baba Saheb Ambedkar. The entire country is in shock over this foolish and unfortunate political play of Congress.”

PM Modi also accused Congress of not giving the rights to Jammu and Kashmir’s Dalits. “Congress did not give any rights to the Dalits of Jammu and Kashmir. Kashmir continued to burn in the fire of terrorism for so many decades, separatism continued to flourish there. The country was not even allowed to know that two constitutions prevailed in this country for 75 years,” he added.

Earlier today, Kharge lashed out at the BJP over Yogi Adityanath’s remark and asked the party to first decide between PM Modi’s ‘ek hai toh safe hai’ and UP CM’ ‘batenge toh katenge’ remarks. He also accused the BJP of dividing people and blaming it on others, adding that those who want the country to remain united would never make such comments.
