The odds may be against LSG, but the ‘Bison’ Mitchell Marsh continues to go on his rampage, no matter what, as his walloping six smashed the prize car in the stands, denting the Curvv in display against the Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Ekana Stadium on Monday.
The Aussie set off, picking up where he left off, as he smashed a stunning 65 off just 39 balls, peppered with 4 fours and 4 sixes, to register his fifth half-century of the tournament.
Alongside opening partner-in-crime Aiden Markram, Marsh put on a show as usual, stitching a century partnership with the Protean to put the hosts on top in a must-win LSG vs SRH clash.
The biggest highlight, though, was his six off Eshan Malinga in the final over of the powerplay, when he muscled one through square-leg, as the ball flew all the way over the ground, straight onto the Tata Curvv on display, denting it as a result.

Having been dropped from Australia’s WTC Final squad for Beau Webster, Marsh seems to have made his statement to SRH and Australia skipper Pat Cummins with his scintillating knock today.
Marsh has stepped up as LSG’s leading run-getter this season, scoring 443 in 11 innings in IPL 2025. He has struck at 157.09 and has been a firecracker for the franchise at the top of the order.
With respect to the IPL 2025, the Sunrisers are already out of the playoff race. But if they manage to beat the Rishabh Pant-led side tonight, then LSG will also get knocked out of the top-four race.
With the tournament having been suspended for nine days, the league restarted this past Saturday. And one would hope that this small break could be the trigger for things to fall in place for the wicketkeeper-batter Pant, who has put up an abysmal season with the bat so far.

Over the 2025 season, Pant has only managed to score 128 runs in 11 games at an average of 12.8 and a strike-rate of 99.22.
But, it wasn’t meant to be for Pant yet again, who fell for a measly 7 runs off 6 balls, continuing his dismal showing for the Lucknow side.
