Goenka, was visibly overjoyed after LSG’s nail-biting victory, which helped them break into the top four of the IPL 2025 points table. However, amid the celebration, he didn’t forget to acknowledge a special moment that transcended team rivalries.
Taking to social media after the game, Goenka congratulated his squad, including captain Rishabh Pant and key performers Abdul Samad, Avesh Khan, and Aiden Markram. But it was his heartfelt shout-out to Rajasthan’s teenage sensation that drew attention. “What a debut by Vaibhav Suryavanshi, a prodigy and future superstar. Wishing you continued success,” Goenka wrote, applauding the young batter’s fearless performance.

Vaibhav, who hails from Bihar, made his IPL debut in front of a roaring crowd and didn’t disappoint. Walking out to open, the eighth-grader announced himself in style by launching a massive six off Shardul Thakur on the very first ball he faced.
He went on to score 34 off just 20 deliveries, peppered with three sixes and two fours, forming a crucial opening stand with Yashasvi Jaiswal. Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 74 runs off 52 balls (5 boundaries and 4 sixes). Avesh Khan was the pick of the bowlers for LSG, conceding 37 runs in 4 overs while claiming 3 wickets.
Although Rajasthan Royals fell just short in the end, the night belonged to Vaibhav Suryavanshi now the youngest debutant in IPL history
