Scheme of Examination
The selection process of SSC MTS includes three stages which are compulsory for the candidates to qualify. The three stages are:

  1. Paper-I Computer Based Objective type test
  2. Paper-II Descriptive test
  3. Document Verification

Paper-II will be a descriptive type paper where the candidates will have to attempt a letter or an essay which will be a total of 50 marks. Duration of Paper II is 30 minutes. The Paper II is just qualifying in nature i.e. marks obtained in paper II are not considered for the merit list except in cases of tie. Candidates who have successfully qualified in the Paper-I and Paper-II examinations, will be called up for the document verification.
