Amid the political turmoil going on in Maharashtra for the last several days, a new government of the Mahayuti alliance was formed on Thursday (5 December). Devendra Fadnavis took oath as the Chief Minister in a grand ceremony at Azad Maidan in South Mumbai. Along with this, two deputy CMs have been appointed again in the new government. Shiv Sena chief Eknath Shinde and NCP chief Ajit Pawar have been given the responsibility of Deputy CM. Maharashtra Governor C.P. Radhakrishnan administered the oath of office and secrecy to Devendra Fadnavis, Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar. Devendra Fadnavis has taken charge of the state as CM for the third time. In the previous government, Eknath Shinde was the Chief Minister while BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis and NCP President Ajit Pawar were handling the responsibility of Deputy CM. Now the leadership has changed in the new government.
