Modi 3.0 Swearing-In: Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu, who entered politics as the son of the former central minister and late Yerran Naidu, is all set to be included in the Union Cabinet. Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MP Ram Mohan Naidu is expected to take the oath as a central minister alongside Narendra Modi, when the latter will be administered oath for a third consecutive term as the Prime Minister, at the swearing-in ceremony taking place on Sunday evening.
Ram Mohan Naidu has been elected as the MP from Srikakulam for the third consecutive time. Despite the YSRCP wave that swept the state in the 2019 elections, he had won as an MP. That the son of Yerran Naidu, a very close associate of TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu, and a young leader who has been consistently winning from North Andhra, would secure a ministerial position was a forgone conclusion. Proficient in Telugu, Hindi, and English, he has already made his presence felt in parliamentary discussions in the past.
TDP Focus On North Andhra
Whenever the TDP had an opportunity in the central cabinet as part of coalition governments, Chandrababu ensured a place for North Andhra, subtly emphasising the region’s importance to them. In 1996, when the TDP joined the United Front government, Kinjarapu Yerran Naidu, Ram Mohan’s father, was given the opportunity to serve as the rural development and employment minister. Later, in 2014, Modi selected Ashok Gajapathi Raju as the civil aviation minister in the NDA government. Now, Ram Mohan getting an opportunity has once again underscored the TDP’s focus on North Andhra.
Ram Mohan Naidu Will Be The Youngest Minister
Born in the Nimmada village in Kotabommali mandal of Srikakulam district, Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu is only 36 years old. He has a B.Tech and an MBA degree. His wife Sri Sarvya could be seen actively campaigning for him in the run-up to the election. They have two daughters. Sri Sarvya’s father Bandaru Satyanarayana Murthy is the MLA from Madugula in Anakapalli district.

That was the election he had contested for the first time on behalf of the TDP, and he won from Srikakulam by a margin of over 1,27,000 votes. He was only 27 years old at the time.
In the 2019 general elections, the TDP lost in five assembly segments under the his parliamentary constituency, but Ram Mohan retained his MP seat. In 2024, he won by a margin of 3,27,000 votes. He also serves as the TDP’s national general secretary. Ram Mohan Naidu’s uncle, Atchannaidu, is the TDP state president.
