Hindi ‘imposition’ row: Maha govt cancels 3-language policy resolution

The Maharashtra government has withdrawn its order implementing the three-language policy following opposition protests against the perceived imposition of Hindi. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis announced the decision and the formation of a committee, led by Dr. Narendra Jadhav, to review the language policy. The committee will submit its recommendations within three months.
