Investigators now suspect Sonam Raghuvanshi, involved in the honeymoon murder case, might be the mastermind, manipulating Raj Kushwaha with promises of love. Raj may have unknowingly facilitated her escape, as Sonam allegedly planned a hideout in Indore. She remained there while searches were conducted, later fleeing to Uttar Pradesh when the plan unraveled.
