On Thursday, May 22, Lucknow Super Giants locked horns against Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi Stadium. The visitors were the better team as the Rishabh Pant-led side beat GT by 33 runs. For MI to finish on top of the table, they now need to win their last group stage match against Punjab Kings and go to 18 points. Further, the Hardik Pandya-led side should hope for RCB to lose their remaining two matches and also CSK to beat Gujarat Titans in their last match to go on top of the table.
