    The high-stakes Lok Sabha seat election in Wayanad, where Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi is making her debut, is going to polls tomorrow along with 31 assembly constituencies. Two more constituencies, both in Sikkim, which were scheduled to vote on November 13, will not go to polls as they have been won uncontested

    The bypolls are being held concurrently with the Jharkhand Assembly elections. Campaigning for all the constituencies ended on Monday.

    SKM Wins Two Seats Uncontested

    The Ruling Sikkim Krantikari Morcha won the Soreng-Chakung and Namchi-Singhithang assembly constituencies uncontested after the main Opposition party in the state withdrew its candidates. As a result, SKM candidates Aditya Golay, son of CM  Prem Singh Tamang, and Satish Chandra Rai won unopposed.

    31 Seats To Host Bypolls

    Initially, 48 Assembly seats were scheduled to go to bypolls on November 13. However, after a rescheduling request from multiple political parties due to festivities, the Election Commission fixed November 13 as the date of polls for 33 assembly constituencies and the Wayanad Parliamentary constituency.

    One assembly constituencies in Kerala, all the four assembly constituencies in Punjab, and all the nine assembly constituencies in Uttar Pradesh will now go to polls in Phase-2 for bypolls on November 20.

    Assembly Constituencies Going To Bypolls On Nov 20:

    Kerala: Palakkad

    Punjab: Dera Baba Nanak, Barnala, Chabbewal, and Gidderbaha.

    Uttar Pradesh: Ghaziabad, Karhal, Khair, Meerapur, Kundarki, Sishamau, Katehari, Majhawan, and Phulpur.

    While Kerala will be celebrating Kalpathi Rastholsavam between November 13 and 15, Punjab will be celebrating Sri Guru Nanak Dev’s birth anniversary from November 13 onwards. The bypolls in UP were rescheduled as people would be traveling for Kartik Purnima on November 15.

    Bypolls will be held in the following seats on November 13:

    Assam: Dholai, Sidli, Bongaigaon, Behali, and Samaguri

    Bihar: Ramgarh, Tarari, Imamganj, and Belaganj

    Chhattisgarh: Raipur City South

    Gujarat: Vav

    Karnataka: Shiggaon, Sandur, and Channapatna

    Kerala: Chelakkara

    Madhya Pradesh: Budhni and Vijaypur

    Meghalaya: Gambegre

    Rajasthan: Chorasi, Khinwsar, Dausa, Jhunjhunu, Deoli-Uniara, Salumber, and Ramgarh

    Uttarakhand: Kedarnath

    West Bengal: Taldangra, Sitai-SC, Naihati, Haroa, Medinipur, and Madarihat

    Soreng-Chakung and Namchi-Singhithang in Sikkim have been won uncontested by the SKM.
